In a shocking event on Monday, Steve Irwin was filming in Australia's Great Barrier reef, when he was killed by a stingray.
He was filming for "Oceans most deadly", when he tried to swim near a stingray. The stingray apparently became afraid, and stuck Steve with its barbed tail. Normally, these rays are docile-natured, and their stings are rarely fatal, but cause excrutiating pain. The ray's barbed tail went under Steve's ribcage, and pierced his heart. This is considered to be a really freak accident.
The familiar TV icon is world-renown for his documentaries on animals, and the conservation and preservation of all species worldwide. It's difficult to comprehend him actually being dead, not to mention he was killed by the animals he strived since childhood to save.

Yeah, I've verified that if he had not pulled the barb out, his heart would have not gone as quicky, since he would'nt have bled as much WITH the stinger in.
Kinda like when a nail is stuck in your tire.
