So, by IC's request, I'm gonna post my original shoujo-ai fiction work, Aoi to Chairoi, on OP. It means "Blue and Brown" in Japanese. This'll be the first section, then I'll post them two sections at a time. Hopefully I'll get my Muse back to I can write more of it.
Keiko~
Aoi to Chairoi
“Ah, Yajamoto-san, could you hold on a minute?” The girl in question turned slowly, unsure of whose voice had summoned her attention. When she completed her roundabout, she found it to be none other than the class representative, one Suzuki Takuichi. “Yes, Suzuki-san?” She asked, unsure of why he would want to talk to her. “Um…well, w-would you, like to…be my girlfriend, Yajamoto-san?” He managed to say, his face a burning red colour. She stood, there, quite stunned by the sudden question. This had never happened, in all her life. And why was he asking her? Surely there were other girls? Ones with bigger breasts, as the boys seemed to cherish? She sat in quiet contemplation, going over many different thoughts. “Um, Yajamoto-san, are you alright? You seem, how should I say it, distant?” He questioned, not expecting utter silence. “I…cannot be your girlfriend, Suzuki-san. I am sorry,” she said as she began to turn and leave the class room. She heard shuffling behind her, but figured it was just the class rep gathering his remaining books in preparation for the journey home. Instead, she felt someone grab her arm and spin her against the wall, Takuichi’s eyes glaring down at her. “Stop, Suzuki-san. My answer will not change,” she said, hoping to end the confrontation now. “Why not?!” He shouted, angered by her complete lack of interest. “What’s wrong with going out with me, huh? I have family connections, good grades, I’m good at sports, I’m good looking, what more could you possibly want?!” It was true, all of it. Underneath the students’ uniform was a body of well-tuned muscles, ones which could keep Takuichi at equal to most of the students here. He was the second best in the class when it came to schoolwork, averaging a 97% in all subjects. His family was well known as having produced some of the finest medical professionals in Osaka. As for his looks, well, one might only need to ask any other girl in his class, and even many in other classes. They followed him everywhere, trying to get his attention. His hair was perfectly cut for his facial features, which were angular but very hansom.
The girl looked to the side, not really knowing what to say or do. “I-I’m sorry, Suzuki-san, but I…am not interested in a boyfriend,” she said softly, hoping the simple answer would be enough. It wasn’t. “What the hell does that mean?! Every girl needs a boyfriend! It’s how it works at this age? We’re third year junior high students, d**nit! Do you really want to go into high school alone like that?” He fumed, expecting such a revelation to turn her over to his side. She blushed, though it was hidden under her thick white makeup. She looked down and to the right, not knowing how to phrase he next sentence. “I-It’s….because I…have a, um…girlfriend,” She managed to say softly, almost inaudibly. She glanced up, slowly, only to look back down immediately. Takuichi Suzuki was fuming mad, his face flustered with anger. He looked down upon the girl, his rage building with every moment. “So you’re a f**king lesbian, huh? I should’ve figured, with your Lolita outfits and shit!” he shouted, his fist raised above his head. She winced, and just as he threw the punch her arms shot forward, deflecting his fist to the left. She then stepped forward, thrusting both arms out with her palms open. When her hands hit his chest he flew backwards onto the desk behind him, too stunned to react. Finally, she dug her nails into his right thigh, pushing it back to make room to move away. When she looked up at the door she was running to, her face widen with joy. “Setsuna-chan!” She said as she ran, weeping openly, into her lover’s embrace. “He….he tried to hit me! I didn’t mean to hurt him that badly, though! Oh god…what is my mom going to say?!” She cried out, tears ruining and hour’s worth of delicate makeup application in seconds. “its okay, Kei-chan. I’m here for you,” the taller woman said, comforting her troubled lover. “He’ll never do anything to hurt you again,” she whispered into he Lolita’s ear. “But for now, let’s go. I think he’ll be fine, a teacher’s already coming.” The two made their way out of the school, Setsuna carrying the smaller woman four blocks, until she stopped in front of a modest house of brick and blue-painted wooden accents.

Setsuna lowered her girlfriend to the ground, and the young woman began to search her purse for the keys to the house in front of them. Ounce found, the door was unlocked and the two stepped inside, looking around for anyone. “Mom, are you here?” Asked the shorter girl. When there was no response, they both went upstairs, making sure to lock the front door. “Alright, Kei-chan, what happened?” Setsuna asked. She stared into her lover’s cherry eyes and smiled. “Maybe you should have a shower first? You’re makeup got all messed up.” “Y-Yeah…you’re right…I’ll be out in ten minutes,” she answered, grabbing her towel and going to the bathroom. She wanted to be held, but knew that a shower was the best option right now. The waters would clean her body while she relaxed and cleansed her mind. When the door opened, a completely different person stepped out. The long, lacy white dress and knee-high socks had been replaced by a simple grey towel. Hair that had been meticulously place into dozens of tiny ringlets now flowed down its owner’s back, reaching to mid-thigh. She was refreshed, once again ready to begin the process that would transform this girl into an elegant doll-like being. But that was not to occur this time. There was too much going on to worry about appearances right now. And besides, the outfits she had didn’t lend themselves well to being in someone’s arms for long periods of time. “You look like the weight of the world has been lifted from your shoulders, Kei-chan,” Setsuna remarked, happy to see the love of her life looking much less stressed. She giggled suddenly, smiling. “You going to get dressed, or am I going to cradle you like that?” The towel-clad girl blushed, then went to her dresser. She took out a simple pair of panties and a plain white bra, dropping her towel with no hint of further embarrassment, and put on the undergarments. Next she selected a long, comfortable t-shirt and a pair of soft cloth shorts to wear. Having put them on, she climbed onto her bad, slipping gracefully into her lover’s arms. “There, there, my little angel. I’m here for you now and forever, you know that.” Setsuna had always been the one to offer a comfortable embrace, always been a pillar of understanding to those around her. When the two had started dating, that job had become the most important thing in her life. She swore she would protect this young woman’s life with everything she had. Now that promise would be tested, but neither had any worries on the outcome. Setsuna would be there, no matter when, no matter what.
Two hours latter, the phone rang out, breaking the silence for the first time in nearly as long. It was quickly answered, though neither of the girls moved an inch. They knew what was coming, but could do nothing to stop it. Nor did they intend to; this was something to be worked out over time. They both winced, though, when the heard steps coming up the stairs. It had begun. “Keiko! What the hell did you do?!” The girl’s mother shouted as she burst into the room. “I get his phone call saying you beat up some kid at school, and what’s the first thing I think? It’s those d**n Ai-jutsu lessons! You finally decided to hurt someone just because you can, right?!” The woman was furious, obviously not level-headed. Then she saw Setsuna. “What the hell is that pregnant dog doing here? And why are you sitting in her arms?! This is not how I raised you, Keiko. Not how your father raised you. Are you trying so bring shame onto this family?” She sighed deeply, then looked up again. “Get out of this house, now! You are not worthy of the Yajamoto name! And take your little friend with you; I never want to see her face again, ever!” With that, the woman stormed downstairs, dialing her husband’s work number.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Its okay, Kei-chan,” Setsuna said as the two young women walked along, “You can live at my house for now, and your dad will clear things up. You know he will.” She smiled, taking Keiko’s hand in her own softly. They slowed then, turning to approach a modest one-story dwelling, one they knew very well. “My mom should be home by now, I think.” Keiko merely nodded, silent. Her whole demeanor was almost depressing, even to her eternally cheerful girlfriend. She didn’t smile, didn’t look up, nothing. Almost like a stray dog, she just followed Setsuna. “Mom, I’m home!” Setsuna yelled, leading Keiko to her room, “And Kei-chan is here!” “Okay, you don’t have to be so loud,” a middle-aged woman replied, smiling. “Do you girl need something to eat, or a drink?” she asked, moving to give her daughter a hug. “No thanks, Mom. We’re just gonna go to my room. Kei-chan’s dad will probably call later, can you let us know when he does?” She answered, not stopping for an instant. “Is everything alright, Setsuna?” The older woman asked, becoming alarmed. It was then that she saw Keiko, almost a hollow of her normal self. “Oh my god, what happened? Are you alright, hon?” She bent down, looking into the girl’s eyes. The usual luster was missing, the obvious joy in life gone. “Setsuna, you’d better explain right now, young woman. Even when she’s in her Lolita outfits she’s more animated. What the hell’s going on?” Keiko looked up, sighing. “I…defended myself from a boy at school. He was overly aggressive in asking me out. When they called my mom, she went berserk. She kicked me out and disowned me. That’s all there is to know.” She moved on, towards her girlfriend’s room, satisfied with her response. “Come now, I think I deserve a better explanation, Keiko. Setsuna?” Her daughter just shrugged, then ran to catch up. She sighed, letting the lovers go. When the phone call some later, she decided, I’ll get the full story.
Setsuna sighed as she closed the door, looking to Keiko. “What was that about, Kei-chan? My mom’s always been nice to you?” She asked. But the question would never be answered. Tears were streaming down the younger girl’s face, and she was weeping loudly. “Keiko, it’s alright,” Setsuna said softly as she approached her lover, “I’ll always protect you.” She kneeled, wrapping her arms around Keiko’s small frame. “Always.”
The girls stayed there for many minutes, hugging each other lovingly. Keiko finally broke the silence, looking into her girlfriends accepting gaze. “Can we sit on the bed? My legs are getting sore…and I want to sit in your lap again. It’s very comfortable.” “Of course, Kei-chan,” Setsuna said, picking up the love of her life. She placed the girl softly on the edge of the bed, then went around to hop on herself. When she found a comfortable position, she gently pulled Keiko into her lap, wrapping her arms securely around the girl’s waist. “We can stay here as long as you want, Kei-chan.” “Thank you, Se-chan. And I’m sorry I’m causing you so much trouble. I didn’t mean for this to happen…” She trailed off, though, as she felt a pair of soft lips caressing her right earlobe. Setsuna continued her kissing, down along the neck and to the shoulders. “Ahhh,” Keiko half sighed, half moaned. It always calmed her down, made the whole world seem a million miles away. She turned herself to sit across Setsuna’s lap, looking up into the older girl’s eyes. Nothing needed to be said as lips connected, giving birth to a prolonged kiss. When lips parted the younger girl gave a weak smile, then lay her head down on her lover’s breasts, falling asleep almost instantly. Setsuna smiled, happy that she had been able to calm her lover down enough to sleep. It was, after all, her duty. As the older, more dominant one, she was required to make all Keiko’s pains disappear, all her worries into nothing. She smiled again. She had performed her job, as she saw it, perfectly.
Nearly two hours later, Setsuna heard the doorbell ring. She sighed, knowing that it would be Keiko’s father. She liked him; he was a very nice man – one of the nicest she’d ever met, actually. It was the fact that he’d probably be taking the girl she loved home. The Keiko must have subconsciously recognized the ringing sound as she stirred, moving for the first time since she fell asleep. ”Se-chan, is my father here?” She asked, brushing her delicate blue hair from her face. “I don’ know if I want to go home…I like being here with you!” The young girl wrapped her arms tightly around her lover, burying her face in the woman’s chest. She didn’t cry, but there was a definite air of sadness. Setsuna smiled, returning the embrace and kissing Keiko softly on the top of her head. She new this would happen; almost looked forward to it. Keiko never wanted to leave, always finding some excuse to stay longer; not that having the girl she loves stay longer was ever a bad thing. There was a quiet knock at the door. Keiko moaned softly while Setsuna just sighed a little. “Hello, its Keiko’s father, may I come in?” asked a tired yet soothing voice. “Of course you can,” Setsuna replied, not bothering to detach Keiko from her chest. The door slowly opened, and a slightly taller-than-average business man in a nice navy suit stepped in. His tie and jacket had been removed, and his shirt was un-tucked, which gave him the appearance of a ruffian. He was, of course, an office worker, having risen through the ranks over the years to be the head of his division. All along the way he had never sacrificed his family’s needs, though. In the end, he had a nice job and a loving family. Upon seeing his daughter, tightly clinging to Setsuna, he could only smile. “I see, so my wife was correct. You two are lovers, then?” he asked, not an ounce of accusation in his calm tenor. “How long have you two been seeing each other?” Setsuna relaxed, kissing Keiko’s head again. “For about three months. You aren’t upset, are you? I mean…isn’t it, I don’t know, “Bringing shame onto the family?”” He just laughed, honestly, and sat on the end of the bed. “Is that what my wife said, that Keiko was shaming our family? Honestly, I don’t know where she gets these ideas. I love the woman, I do, but her actions are so confusing sometimes.” He said, sighing. “But to the point, what happened at school today? I heard Keiko beat up some young man. Is that true?” Keiko turned, looking into his eyes. “I didn’t! I mean…it wasn’t like that. I thought he was going to hit me! So…I-I defended myself.” She slouched, leaning back onto Setsuna. Tears began to fall down her face, which she immediately wiped off. “Come here, Keiko. It’s all right. I’m not mad at you. I know we can work this out. Now, what was the name of the boy you…were in this encounter with?” He asked. “Um…it was Suzuki-san, Dad. I’m so sorry, I didn’t think anything would happen…and I reacted almost on instinct!” She cried out, suddenly jumping into her father’s arms, surprising Setsuna quite a bit. She really is a daddy’s girl, isn’t she? Thought the older girl. As if on cue, Setsuna’s mother came into the room with a tray in her hands. “Would anybody like some snacks, or something to drink? I have tea, coffee, and some sodas in the fridge.” “Actually,” Keiko’s father said, “I would love some coffee. I had a rather tough day at work. Keiko, how about you?” He asked, almost insisting that she accept. “Um, I’ll just have some milk, if you have any,” she responded, getting the hint quite easily. “I’m fine, Mom,” Setsuna said last. “Okay, that will work. Here are some cookies and such, incase you’re hungry,” the older girl’s mother said, placing the tray on the desk Setsuna has for school work. When she had left, Keiko’s father finally asked the hard question. “I don’t want to sound like an interrogator, but what exactly happened? Did anyone see what transpired?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One cup of coffee, two glasses of milk, and an hour later, two people stepped quietly out of the house and began the slow journey home. Keiko’s spirits were much higher, and her father was pleased with how the night had gone so far. They walked hand-in-hand the whole way, the young girl ignoring the fact that she was, in most peoples’ opinions, much too old for such a thing. She knew her dad enjoyed the fact that they were so close, and she hadn’t really cared what others thought of her for quite a while.
“Ritsuka, we’re home.” “WE?!” came an enraged response from the living room. “You brought her home? Why? You heard what happened. She attacked poor Suzuki-san, and she’s a lesbian!” Keiko followed her father into the room, hiding behind him as though her mother would throw something. He ushered into one of the chairs and took a seat beside his wife on the couch. She was glaring at him, with a very violent gleam in her eyes. He simply sighed, shaking his head and resting his chin in his right hand. A few minutes passed with nothing said. Finally, Ritsuka spoke. “Okay, you brought her back, why? And what about the incident at school? Has she told you anything?” “Yes, she has. In fact, she told me everything. And since it’s getting late, I think she should just go up to bed. I’ll tell you what happened.” “B-but, she’s the whole reason we’re having this conversation!” Ritsuka roared. “Honey, it’s almost nine o’clock. Keiko has school tomorrow. Do you want her to be too tired to learn?” She sat back, stunned. He was acting like it was nothing! “How can you be so calm, Nobuya?” she asked. “Because I know what really happened. Setsuna even saw part of it. She didn’t attack him at all. She defended herself. Is it so hard to believe that our daughter isn’t a violent person?” “Fine,” she said, “but what about her being a lesbian? Doesn’t that bother you at all?” “Should it,” He responded. “What does it matter who she falls in love with? If I remember correctly, your parents were quite upset when you decided to marry me.” “That was different…you’re a man!” She spat out. Tears had begun to well up in her eyes. “And…you’re a good man. Don’t ever say it like the choice was wrong…never!” She said as she clung to him, crying. “How could you compare our relationship to Keiko?” she went on, still sobbing. “I’m simply trying to point out that things aren’t always as apparent to the parents as they are to the children. And why are you so against the idea of our daughter being a lesbian?” “B-because…it’s not normal,” she responded, unsure of her own response. “Actually,” Keiko said from the stairs, “About 10% of the population is gay, no matter where you go.” She didn’t wait for a response, and went up to her room to attempt to sleep for the night.
Her parents both sat, looking into each other’s eyes. Without a word, the two of them went to their bedroom, where they talked about what happened well past 10:30.

Lonely in Gorgeous began playing at exactly 7:00 AM the next morning. Keiko groaned, reaching out a hand to turn off her alarm. After several missed attempts, she managed to land a hit on the snooze button. She retracted her arm back under her downy comforter, yawning in the process. Today, she decided, she was not going to wear he usual clothing; just the regulation uniform that sat hanging somewhere in her closet. Boy, would her classmates be surprised, especially the GothLoli fan club. Oh well, she sighed.
She got up, turning her alarm off for good. Her hair was a matted mess, and it would take a good, long brushing to fix it. Normally her mother would have done so, but she was unsure if asking was such a good idea. After the events of the previous day, all she wanted to do was lay in bed with Setsuna. But since she had school, there was no chance of that. Not with finals coming up. She found her uniform, still perfectly folded and clean under the plastic covering. “I wonder if it’ll still fit…I haven’t worn this for almost a year,” She said to no one in particular. After finding a clean pair of panties and a matching bra, she tried it on. “Wow…I must not have grown much at all,” she observed. “Jeez, even my breasts are the same size. I was sure this top would be much tighter on me.”
There was a soft knock on the door, followed by her mother’s voice asking if she could enter. Keiko replied positively, and Ritsuka slowly opened the door. “You’re not wearing your EGL dress today, hon?” She asked, surprised. “And look at your hair, it’s a mess!” Want me to brush it for you? I know your father has no idea what he’s doing.” Keiko nearly burst into tears. She ran to her mother, burying her face in the older woman’s chest and clinging tightly to her. “Are you alright, Keiko?” She asked, very worried at her daughter’s unusual display of behavior. “Oh mom…I though you would hate me now!” The girl replied, tears welling up in her eyes. “There, there. I don’t hate you. I never could. I just…got a little excited. I’m sorry for what I said to you.” She led Keiko to the bed, patting the edge. Her daughter sat, silent, still crying a little. “I know I said some very harsh things, and I want to apologize. Your father made me realize how horrible of a mother I was being. I should have defended you, not gotten angry with you.” She kissed her daughter’s temple, then went into the bathroom to find a brush. “Here, let me brush your hair. I know how much it calms you down.” Keiko nodded, drying her tears. “D-do you still not want Setsuna to come over anymore? I mean…I can understand if you’re not ready to accept that I’m a lesbian.” She asked softly, afraid of the answer she thought was coming. “Of course not, honey. It’ll take some getting used to, but I want what’s best for you, and your father has told me how much you love her. You can’t stop love. I know that well enough myself.” Ritsuka admitted, beginning to untangle the mess of hair before her. “So are you really going to wear that uniform to school? I can help you get your EGL makeup on. After eleven months of you wearing it I can almost apply it all in ten minutes.”
Keiko nodded, a sense of calm washing over her. Maybe, just maybe, this day wouldn’t be so bad after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As she entered the room, she could feel everyone’s eyes upon her. More than usual, that is. “Hello, everyone,” she said smiling, and curtseyed low, “Are you all doing well?” She grinned inwardly, thinking about how much this must shock them. She was always nearly silent the whole day. Without waiting for an answer, she gracefully walked to her desk and took her seat, noting that one Suzuki Takuichi was not present. Before she could dwell on it more, she was surrounded by her classmates, all wondering the same thing. “What happened yesterday, Yajamoto-san?” One girl asked for the group. “I heard you attacked Suzuki-kun!” “Yeah!” Someone else yelled. A few of the girls became rather upset at the reminder, and leered down at their mysterious classmate. “I did nothing of the sort. He asked me to be his girlfriend, and I declined. He became angry, and demanded to know why, but only after listing all of his so-called accomplishments,” She replied, calm and collected. When no one said anything immediately, she went on. “I gave him my reason, and he raised his fist to hit the wall. I panicked, and hit him backwards onto a desk. I flipped him over it, and then ran to the door.”
They stood, shocked. How could she say it so matter-of-factly? And what was her reason for not dating him? What could possibly stop any girl from dating him?
The girl continued her questioning after a few seconds, once she had collected her thoughts. “Okay…so why didn’t you agree to go out with him? He’s…well, nearly perfect; handsome, smart, athletic, and rich!” She nodded confidently, drawing agreement from most of the rest of the class.
Keiko sighed, looking directly into her eyes. “He’s a pompous ass, who thinks he’s better than others because of the very reasons you just listed.”
Twenty four people looked at her, aghast. She had actually said it, in public no less. Most of them had though the exact same thing at some point or another. The stole glimpses of each other, fidgeting pointlessly. Someone swallowed loudly, another coughed. The inquisitor blinked, and then sat on Keiko’s desk, her arms crossed.
“Okay, so is that why you turned him down? You don’t like him?” She probed, expecting a positive response. She tried to glare, but couldn’t find herself able to do so. Someone so honest was…refreshing, to say the least.
“Partly, yes,” Keiko said, looking out the window. She noted an approaching gray cloud. I guess it’s going to rain later…she thought, waiting for the next question. It came exactly when she figured it to, and was almost verbatim to her expectations. What surprised her was who said it.
“And the other reason, Yajamoto-san?” An angry boy asked from the doorway. She winced at his voice. She had hoped he would not come today. Not come ever again. So much for that.
“Why don’t you tell them, Takuichi?” She said sarcastically. “Or are you too embarrassed? Too ashamed to think admit who you lost to.” The last part was part was a statement, infuriating him even more.
“Why the hell would I be embarrassed?” He roared, scaring his classmates. “You’re a f**king lesbian!”
A roomful of heads spun almost simultaneously. Keiko chuckled, fanning her gaze over the other people. She could see the same look in every pair of eyes. Complete shock. They had no idea at all. The normally talkative girl could say nothing she was so dumbfounded. But before anyone else could begin to say anything, a sharp cough resounded from the door, behind Takuichi.
“Thank you for that informative piece, Suzuki-san. But I’m afraid such language is inappropriate at school,” Said the teacher, walking past the young boy. He put his books and notes on his desk, and then turned to face his students. “Now if you’d all take your seats, I’d like to begin class.”
The lectures were boring as usual, though Keiko was the only one actually listening to them. Everyone else was whispering to their neighbors; all but Takuichi. He sat silently, his eyes closed and arms crossed. That stupid pregnant dog, he thought, I want to kill her! First she rejects me, and then she insults me! Talk about adding injury to insult! I’ve got to calm down, find a way to get back at her. Maybe we could pay someone to beat the shit out of her. No…too obvious…
Meanwhile, one Sakurazaki Setsuna sat impatiently in her own classroom, tapping her pen noisily. She was ready for lunch, so she could bolt down stairs to Keiko. So ready, in fact, that her classmates had a path cleared for her when the bell rung. Everyone could see how much she needed to leave the room, but no idea of her destination or why. One young man was so curious as to ask what the matter was, genuinely concerned. She simply announced, loud enough for everyone to hear, that her girlfriend needed her as soon as she could be there. The teacher, unawares until then, stopped to send a questioning look the girl’s way. At that instant, a chime filled the school, thus beginning the thirty-minute lunch break. Setsuna was out of the door almost before anyone could get up to follow her. Two girls had taken it upon themselves to find out what the deal was, because this was high school after all, and everyone wanted to know everything about everyone else. The pair ran quickly, not hiding the fact that they were trailing their classmate. Said person didn’t care at all.
The whole school, hell, the whole world could know about her love for Keiko and it wouldn’t bother her one bit. So she kept on running until she found the right classroom. She slowed, making sure to not hit anyone as she entered. As expected, there was a crowd around her lover. Unexpectedly, though, Suzuki had shown up at school. Not that it mattered. Nothing but Keiko’s safety and happiness did. Someone noticed her enter, and putting two and two together, motioned for everyone to let her through. Keiko’s eyes widened with absolute joy when she saw her girlfriend approaching.
“Se-chan!” she shouted, standing instantly.
Setsuna didn’t say anything at first, just took the girl into her arms and held her tight, kissing her forehead; but making sure not to smudge the layer of white makeup. They stood there for nearly a minute before they both realized that there were over 50 people staring at them. People from all around had seen Setsuna run into the room, and a third-year going into a second-year classroom was unusual to begin with, but the speed with which she had run there spoke of something worth watching.
The taller girl turned to face the crowd. They breathed in anticipation, ready for some juicy explanations. Instead they got a simple question. “Haven’t you ever seen two people in love before? I mean, come on!” Without waiting for a response, she turned to kiss Keiko full on the lips, lovingly but not making a show of it. The younger girl moaned softly, blushing.
“Se-chan,” Keiko began, “I’m so glad you came!” She wrapped arms around the brunette’s waist, resting her head on the older girl’s chest.
There was a unanimous “awwwww!” from every girl in the room, and a few whistles from certain boys, who were smacked at once. Again Setsuna turned to the onlookers. “If you don’t mind, could I have lunch with my girlfriend?” They all nodded, but didn’t move. “Without fifty people watching, perhaps?” She continued. They got the message, and all but a few of the people whose classroom this actually was left. The four who did stay sat in the corner, not bothering the happy couple.
Keiko released her grip, smiling. “I didn’t make any lunch last night, I’m sorry…” She trailed off, looking into Setsuna’s warm green eyes. “Though I’m not really that hungry…just a little thirsty.”
“That’s alright; I’ll go buy us something to drink. Don’t go anywhere!” Setsuna said as she jogged to the vending machines. There were, of course, a mass of people waiting outside. But they had all been listening in, and let her through. She returned about two minutes later with two cans of juice, orange for herself and raspberry for Keiko. “Here you go!” She said, handing her sitting girlfriend the cold drink before taking a seat in the next desk over. But before they could begin to talk, Takuichi entered the room.
“What do you want?” Keiko growled, causing her very protective lover to rise instantly.
“Suzuki-san,” Setsuna said, “You better be coming to apologize.” Her gaze became very stern, as if to bore a whole through the boy.
He stared back just as intently, before looking at Keiko. He seemed to be favouring his left leg slightly, and his breathing wasn’t as easy as usual for him. He coughed slightly, taking a deep breath to begin.
“Why would I apologize to her, or you? She attacked me, unprovoked. I can’t even walk correctly right now, and the doctor says it’ll take five weeks to heal completely. And to top it off, you’re both lesbians! Don’t you know how wrong tha-
His sentence was cut off as Setsuna punched him hard in the gut, then rose up and forward, shouldering him backwards onto the floor. She was pissed, ready to kill him. She let him stand, sliding into a rough fighting stance, both hands clenched into tight fists. “You want to say anything else, you stuck up little prick? I’d be glad to sock you again.”
Keiko whimpered, slipping her arms around Setsuna’s waist. “Please, don’t! You’re already going to get in big trouble! Just…let him go…Please, Se-chan.” The younger girl was weeping softly, burying her face into her lover’s back.
Takuichi stood, dumbstruck. He felt like he was going to throw up, and he was sure he’d suffered a broken rib or two. “You…you pregnant dog!” He spat, thankful to not taste blood. “My father is going to have you thrown out of this school for good! And your little Lolita girlfriend can go with you, too!” He groaned, limping out of the room, where he bumped into a teacher. “K-Kanzaki-sensei, that girl just attacked me! Did you see it?” He asked, cringing at the pain in his chest.
“Yes, I did, Suzuki san. I also saw you provoke her, and heard some very unacceptable language come out of your mouth. For now...go home. I’ll talk to the Principal about this.” The teacher continued past, into his classroom. As for you, Sakurazaki-san., I’d suggest you return to your room, and think on your actions. Neither he nor you will go unpunished for this, be sure of that. Such actions are not allowed in this place of knowledge.”
Keiko clung to her girlfriend, showing no signs of letting go. She sniffled, but otherwise remained motionless. Setsuna relaxed, turning to embrace the blue-haired girl and kiss her forehead. Even the teacher let them be for the time being; understanding very well that a lot of comforting would be needed for those involved.
Several minutes later the girls reluctantly disengaged from one another. Setsuna kissed Keiko softly, saying her goodbyes before leaving the room just as the bell rang for the end of lunch. By now everyone knew what had happened, and gave her a wide berth. All eyes returned to Keiko immediately afterward, shocked to find the girl slumped into her seat, makeup smudged and running as tears fell across the girl’s cheeks.
One girl raised her hand, to which the teacher asked, “What can I do for you, Shirokawa-san?”
“Um, can I take Keiko-chan to the bathroom to get her cleaned up a little? I’m pretty sure she’s not going to hear a word you say anyway, not after that.”
“And they can both copy my notes, so they won’t fall behind. Okay, Sensei?” Another girl added. Everyone else nodded their agreement. Keiko was completely unaware of what was going on, her mind reeling, trying to figure out what to do. Kanzaki nodded, deciding it was probably a good idea to have another girl attend to the distraught young woman. Keiko’s mind drifted into the present as Shirokawa pulled her into a standing position and led her to the restrooms.
“What’s going on, Yuki-san? Where are you taking me?” Keiko asked, but didn’t resist.
“I’m taking you to the restrooms, to clean you up. You’re makeup is ruined, and your cheeks are all puffy from the crying. That and you probably don’t want to be in there, with everyone staring at you,” The girl said, offering a small smile. She opened to the door, ushering her classmate inside. “Here, sit on the sink. I’ll get some paper towels to get the makeup off.”
Keiko nodded, managing a slight smile. She hopped up, between two of the faucets. Her posture said it all: arms and legs slack, back arched forward, head hanging low. “Why are you helping me, Yuki-san? I don’t even talk to you…or anyone,” she whimpered out in a dry, raspy voice. “Why would anyone help me?”
“Now, don’t go getting all depressing on me! You’re my classmate, that’s why I’m helping you! I’ve come to respect you a lot, Keiko-san. You wear those clothes every day, even though it’s against school rules. You put on like, a pound of makeup every morning. And your hair is so long and straight, but very healthy too. How could a girl not respect you for that alone? But so be completely honest, after today, the love I’ve seen shared between you and Setsuna-senpai is more than enough. If two people can be so completely sure of themselves and each other, then who’s to say no?”
Keiko nodded, silent. She had never though of her situation that way. But it made sense, what Shirokawa had said. Under those pink curls there was a very smart girl, she mused. And a very caring one, too! “Thank you, Yuki-san. Thank you for being here for me, when I need someone, and for going out of your way to help.” Keiko looked up with a genuine smile spread across her features. The two girls hugged before Yuki began to wipe away the makeup, careful not to get any in her new friend’s eyes or mouth.
When they walked out of the bathroom, Keiko felt almost naked, in a sense. She had worn the heavy makeup for almost a year, only taking it off during her shower just before bed. Now she was at school, in front of everybody, not even wearing light eye shadow or lipstick. The dress seemed almost out of place now, but she didn’t have her uniform at school; not that appearances mattered to her at this point. She just wanted this day to end, so she could rush into Setsuna’s outstretched arms. Only one more period remained after this one, though the brunette would probably spend quite some time being questioned and disciplined.
As they stepped into the classroom, Kanzaki-sensei stopped his commentary on the Tales of Genji, smiling warmly. “Is everything alright, girls? Felling better, Keiko-san?”
Keiko nodded, smiling back. “Yuki-chan did a great job taking my makeup off, and it was nice to be slightly removed from everything for a while,” she said as she took her seat.
Yuki sat down as well, nodding agreeably to her teacher. “I think a good night’s rest should help Keiko-chan feel a lot better. And maybe some good loving from Setsuna-senpai, too!” She added, giggling. The rest of the class did a double take, and then laughed. Yuki blushed a little at her comment, looking at Keiko, who was beet red.
“Well, that’s not really our business, now, is it?” Kanzaki mumbled to his class. “Shall we continue with the lesson? I do plan on trying to teach you something today. Where was I? Ah, yes, I remember now. What do you think drove Genji to do this the way he did?” He asked, successfully capturing the attention of his students once again.
Classes went on as normal for the rest of the day, but Keiko felt more and more anxious as the day wore on. She knew there would be a lot of arguing and explaining, not to mention Setsuna most likely getting suspended. And because of Takuichi’s mom being the vice president of the parents’ counsel, he would most likely get off with some minor punishment, if he got anything at all. She sighed quietly. It all seemed so unfair to her. As she looked around her, the other students seemed to be completely engrossed in their work, as she wished she could be. But there was that nagging in the back of her mind.
When the final bell did ring, Keiko nearly fell out of her seat. She had been thinking quite hard, and didn’t even notice her classmates packing up. She looked around with a blush, hoping nobody had noticed her little outburst. But of course, Yuki had heard it.
“Are you okay, Keiko-chan? Didn’t you know class was almost over?” she asked as she took a seat beside her friend.
“N-no…I was deep in thought. I’m just so worried about what’s going to happen to Se-chan. Suzuki-san’s mom is on the parent’s counsel. She might try to get Se-chan kicked out of the school…” she drifted off, tears beginning to form in the corners of her eyes.
“Don’t worry, Keiko-chan! Kanzaki-sensei and the Principal will stick up for her! They know Suzuki-san wasn’t being nice.” She leans over and gave Keiko a light hug, hoping her positive attitude and absolute cheerfulness would lighten the mood. It seemed to work, as Keiko looked up with a smile, and hugged her friend back tightly.
“Thank you, Yuki-chan. You’re such a good friend, even though I’ve always been so distant.“
Kanzaki-sensei cleared his throat, standing at the door. “I’m sorry to interrupt your heart-felt moment, but we need to get going, Keiko-san. This will not be a short meeting.”
The two girls nodded, and gave each other one last hug. Keiko gathered her belongings, and accompanied her teacher to the Principal’s office.
Okay, here's the next part. ^__^
